APTHC 2014 – Medicine (Vietnam)

The 10th Asia Pacific Travel Health Conference (APTHC 2014) is aimed at clinicians, physicians and any other healthcare professionals working in the field of travel medicine. The theme of the conference is “Emerging Infections and Travel” and will feature plenary sessions, debates, country highlights, meet-the-expert sessions, workshops, ABCs, free communication, posters, and a special session for nurses.

Topics include:

  • Emerging infections
  • Emerging health impacts
  • Re-emerging viral pediatric infectious diseases
  • Preventative medicine
  • Primary health care and more


Participants are requested to submit an abstract to the Secretariat via the abstract submission link. Abstracts will be reviewed and assigned to appropriate sessions.

Authors will be notified regarding Abstract acceptance. Accepted abstracts will be included in Abstract Book that will be distributed at the Conference. There are very limited slots for oral presentation. When submitting your abstract, please specify your preferred method of presentation (oral or poster).

Abstracts should be submitted online at this website. We do not accept abstracts submitted by FAX, E-MAIL, or MAIL. Online abstract submission is now open.


  1. The abstracts should be as informative as possible:
    • State specific object of study
    • State method used, if pertinent
    • State conclusions reached
  1. Standard abbreviations may be used.
  2. Inclusion in the Scientific Program and Abstract Book is dependent on payment of registration fees.
  3. Abstracts should be submitted in proper English.
  4. Abstract length should not exceed 300 words
  5. Declaration of Consent to publication and assignation of copyright. When you submit your abstract, you will be asked to tick the following declarations:
  • I confirm that I previewed this abstract and that all information is correct. I accept that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and I am aware that it will be published exactly as submitted.
  • Submission of the abstract constitutes my consent to publication (e.g. congress website, programs, other promotions, etc.)
  • The Abstract Submitter warrants and represents that he/she is the sole owner or has the rights of all the information and content (“Content“) provided to APTHC 2014 andKenes Asia (Hereafter: “The Organizers”). The publication of the abstract does not infringe any third party rights including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights.
  • The Abstract Submitter grants the Organizers a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the Content.
  • The Organizers reserve the right to remove from any publication an abstract which does not comply with the above.
  • I herewith confirm that the contact details saved in this system are those of the corresponding author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The corresponding author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract.
